10 Things to Do for Valentine’s Day in Chattanooga + Giveaway!
Valentine’s Day is coming up fast. Seriously, where did January go and where did February come from?
Whether you’re single, taken or anything in between (hey whatever floats your boat), there’s something for everyone for Valentine’s Day in Chattanooga. Even if you’re not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day, grab a group of friends, go out and have a good time. There’s more to love than loving a significant other — love your friends and yourself, too! But that’s a discussion for another time.
Here are 10 super fun things to do for Valentine’s Day in Chattanooga!
There’s so much going on in the Scenic City, starting the weekend before Valentine’s Day and going through the following week. And stay tuned for the giveaway at the end!
Lover’s Leap at Rock City (Feb. 10-14) // It’s one of the most iconic spots in Chattanooga and has a breathtaking view. It got its name from a Native American tale of a young lady who jumped to her death after her lover from an enemy tribe died. BUT you won’t be doing any jumping! Instead, grab a package for two that includes admission, a photo, Valentine’s fudge and wine or cider.
Live Music Friday at FEED Co. // Good Southern comfort food, amazing cocktails and beer selection, and live music? Sounds like a great Friday night to me. Start your Valentine’s weekend off with a night out at FEED Co. and there’s no way you won’t have a good weekend.
CSO Pops’ Big Band Fever (Feb. 10-11) // One of my favorite concert events of the year! I went to the Big Band Fever show last year and had an amazing time. In addition to a full set of swing and big-band classics, attendees can show off their best swing dancing moves right up on stage with the CSO Pops.
Hair Treatment and/or Shave at EV1 Salon // Treat yourself and your sweetheart with a relaxing haircut or master shave at Chattanooga’s newest salon and barbershop. The ladies at EV1 Barbershop & Salon bring precision English-style cutting and coloring to Chattanooga’s Southside. In addition to hair cuts and coloring, EV1 offers master shave treatments for men.
Chattanooga FC vs. Atlanta United (Feb. 11) // If you followed my blog over the summer, you’ll remember that I went to almost every Chattanooga FC match. It’s been a long time since the season ended and I’m glad I don’t have to wait until May to watch the Boys in Blue play again. The CFC will take on Atlanta United, a brand new MLS club in its inaugural match, right in Chattanooga at Finley Stadium. “Pumped” is an understatement. Tickets are still available.
Valentine’s Wine Dinner at Georgia Winery (Feb. 11) // I have yet to venture down to the Georgia Winery, but they always have some great special events for a variety of occasions. It’s located just down the road in Ringgold, so it wouldn’t be a far trip at all. This year they’ve got a lovely four-course dinner paired with some of the winery’s best wines. Reservations required, so secure your spot fast!
Sunday Brunch at Flying Squirrel with Live Music // What’s the best way to finish off a great weekend (or keep it going)? Brunch, of course! I love a good brunch and Chattanooga has plenty of options for all of your brunch needs. Squirrel is one of my favorites, of course. Again with the food and music pairing!
Wine & Pizza at Lookout Winery // Drive a little bit past downtown Chattanooga to the Lookout Winery for an afternoon or evening of fabulous Italian wines and wood-fired pizza. The view out the back porch is also fantastic. And they’ve added gelato to their menu, so really, what more do you need in one place? Pro tip: the winery is actually in central time, so prepare for the quick time change when planning your visit!
Valentine’s Dinner at FEED Co. (Feb. 13) // As I’ve said many times before, if executive chef Charlie Loomis has anything to do with it, don’t miss it. If this Argentina Wine Dinner is anything like the Chef’s Pairing Dinner I went to back in November, I can already tell you it’s going to be amazing. Each of the four courses will be paired with a wine from Argentina. No word on if any tangoing will be involved, though.
Valentine’s Day Painting Class at Uptown Art (Feb. 14) // This would be super fun to do with a group of gal pals! Enjoy some snacks while painting a lovely masterpiece. Uptown Art is located on Frazier Avenue in the Northshore. More information is on their Facebook page!
That’s not all, y’all! I’ve got a really sweet giveaway for you and a special someone, thanks to EV1 Barbershop & Salon. Enter below for your chance to win two gift certificates: one for a ladies’ hair treatment, and one for a men’s shave and hot towel treatment.
Whether you’re going out with a loved one or celebrating with your friends, there are possibilities that meet anyone’s tastes for this Valentine’s Day in Chattanooga. Don’t forget to love yourself on Valentine’s Day, too!
