My mom made a version of this when I was in high school. I think her version had walnuts and gorgonzola cheese in it. It was one of my favorite snacks after tennis practice or a match.
This dip is absolutely delicious with fruit, vegetables, crackers, and bread. It’s such a simple snack for afternoon slumps. I tend to keep a little container of this in the fridge often this time of year. It also makes a delicious sandwich with sliced apples and turkey or chicken. And this time of year, it’s on the lighter side, and it won’t sit heavy in your stomach.
Cookout and backyard party season is fast approaching, and this dip is perfect for those. Whip it up the night before, let it refrigerate until you’re ready to leave, and serve it with crackers, veggies, and apple slices. Just double or triple the recipe for larger servings.
How to Make Pecan & Bleu Cheese Dip
You only need a handful of simple ingredients!
- Cream cheese
- Greek yogurt (or sour cream)
- Crumbled bleu cheese (or gorgonzola)
- Chopped pecans (or walnuts)
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder to taste
You can make this in a stand mixer, with an electric handheld mixer, or the old fashioned way with a bowl and spoon. I use any excuse and opportunity to use my stand mixer.
To make this bleu cheese dip, just add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl, and stir until combined. Then cover and refrigerate it until you’re ready to serve it!

- 1-2 tbsp honey
- 1/2 cup bleu cheese crumbles
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
